  Addressing the gathering at Trede, in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region, President Akufo-Addo indicated that the COVID-19 pandemic did not only disrupt lives and livelihoods, but also exposed the deficiencies of the nation’s healthcare system, because of years of under-investment and neglect. With eighty-eight (88) out of the one hundred and one (101) sites identified for the commencement of work on the construction of the district hospitals, he assured that the acquisition of the remaining thirteen (13) sites will be completed shortly for work to begin. “Each hospital is being constructed at a cost of US$16.88 million, that is US$12.88 million for construction and US$4 million for medical equipment. All the hospitals are to be completed in eighteen (18) months. Work will commence on the regional and other hospitals in the latter part of the year,” he assured. This artist has made a post on his facebook wall condemning industry players in Eastern corridor for criticizing them on radio.That he heard many industries players in Yendi 'Bimbila,Zabzugu,Gushegu and many towns within eastern corridor discussing about artist in Eastern corridor their inability to promote their project or their stuffs .  He said he knew very well that such critics will help encourage them to work more extra hard but his question is ,He never sees any industry players post promoting an artist from the  Eastern corridor, are they really out for them if yes why them not promotes them rather than making such comments on radio.  He stated that he needs an answer to that question. YOUTH TO BOYCOTT EASTERN CORRIDOR ROAD This is from the concerned citizens of yendi.  Following our earlier press release expressing our dissatisfaction about review of the project design, we had to do more consultations regarding the project . Based on the consultations,we resolved that the concerned citizens collaborates with Assembly members to petition the Ghana Highways Authority . The signed petition has been delivered to the Ghana Highways Authority and copied to the relevant offices. Please find copies of the petition attached.  We are given the Ghana Highways Authority 28 days to address our concerns failing which advise ourselves with other lawful options available to us.  Yendi water project must start now. Water they say is life. Our very existence and livelihoods today depends entirely on water,but life becomes complicated when We try to play Politics with issues of its magnitude. The Yendi water supply was build in 1941 and since then it has never undergone any rehabilitation,fast forward the populates and surrounding towns,along its economic growth and their demands is now more than it can supply,in the year 2007 life’s were lost as a result of children going to fetch at nearby villages.
