YENDI TOWNSHIP ARE SUFFERING WITH WATER SHORTAGE
Please the good people of Ghana the leaders and the authority should quickly react on this matter seriously.
The Northern Regional town of Yendi is currently facing an acute water shortage following a fire outbreak at the main water treatment plant two weeks ago.
Residents have been appealing to the authorities to immediately address the problem since its negatively impacting on their lives.
They have been left with no option but to explore other alternatives for getting potable water. Women and children are seen during walking long distances in search of water.
Other residents of Yendi in the past two weeks have been relying on water tankers for water.
spoke to Citi News complained about the charges by the tanker drivers.
They are therefore appealing to the government to urgently come to their aid.
“The dry season is just starting and things are already this way. Then we will be dead by the next rains,” a resident lamented.
“We are calling on the government to please come and assist our work on the plant for us. We are suffering. The president came and cut sod for Yendi water project and up to date, we don’t see anything. Please we seriously need help.”

Following the onset of the dry season in the Northern Region, residents of Yendi who fear the consequences of not having potable water have appealed to the government to act quickly.
The current situation has, for example, taken a toll on commercial car washing bays forcing them to increase charges for their services..
